Freddy Fazbear is a fictional character and the titular antagonist of the Five Nights at Freddy's video game series.

Created by American video game designerScott Cawthon,[1] he is an animatronicspossessed by the soul of a child that is the titular mascot of the Fazbear Entertainment Freddy Fazbear's Pizza franchise attempting to kill the night guard, who is also the player character.
In the first game, he appears as the main antagonist, and then has supporting roles in the following games.
As the titular character, Freddy got multiple counterparts throughout the series. The original version of Freddy appeared or was at the very least mentioned in every entry in the franchise since his first appearance in the video game of the same name, and will also appear in the film adaptation of the original game.[2]
